Our Story

yosemite     We met in March 2011, swing dancing, through a mutual friend’s birthday party. We danced once that night, because I, (Caleb) was too chicken to ask Amanda to dance until the end of the night. After that night we talked over Facebook for a week or so and got to know each other a little better, I then built up the courage and asked her to a cup of coffee. I was pretty nervous and she seemed very calm, but we appeared to have alot in common. After coffee she agreed to come to my house for a short while and meet my entire family, (all seven of my siblings). Luckily all of my brothers and sisters fell in love with her, upbeat, carefree, and bubbly personality right away.

Around a week later we went ice skating, and for a short hike to look at the stars.  Finally, about another week and I took Amanda out on our first date to a restaurant called Jack’s. That was April 7th 2011.

Exactly one year later, April 7th 2012, I asked Amanda to marry me. She immediately said yes, and we decided to start our adventure together right away. Our wedding came three months later in Monterey CA. We said goodbye to everyone we new, and drove from California to North Carolina where we started our life together… She was 19 and I was 20.
